... Photographic matters...
I use a Nikon F90 for colour and a Nikon FA for B/W (which I bought a looong time ago at Cambridge Camera Exchange, NY). This keeps me from wasting those B/W reels just to make space for colour again. Since Nikon had the brilliance to allow older lenses to be used with newer cameras and vice verse I can use all my lenses with either camera. I use the following lenses:
Standard 50 mm with F1.8. Very good for using with those ASA 64 (or 50) films without a flash. |
My most used lens, a 35 - 105 mm with F3.5 - 4.6 gives ok speeds with films (ASA 100 - 200). |
An outdoor lens, being 70 - 210 and having F4.5 - 5.6 it usually for sunny days or with flash. |
Also for outdoor, the 400mm Sigma F5.6 is splendid for catching some animals unaware. Well almost, at least they don't fly away immediately! |
For some special cases. The 28 mm F1.8 is rarely used. |
When I grow up I will get one of the F2.8 80-200 mm D ED guys to use!
For colour I prefer films from Kodak and my favorite is the ASA 64 Ectachrome, though it is seldom used. Normally the Kodak Gold with ASA 100 - 400 is used. When I know I will take a large amount of photos I switch to Kodak Elite instead of Gold (slides are so much cheaper!). Black and white films from Illford are the only ones I've tried sofar. I have nothing against using a flash (I know some do) and use the SD-26.
Here are some of my pictures... click on the thumbnail to see something bigger. All are taken with the F90 without a flash unless otherwise stated. No permission is granted for using these without my written consent.
