ASL was designed initially by The Avalon Hill Game Company. At the end of the TAHGC era Multiman Publishing (MMP) was contracted to continue the development. When HASBRO bought TAHGC it again turned to MMP to continue the work. Sofar MMP has an excellent record!
A few third party manfacturers have also put out good quality material, including Kinetic Energy, Heat of Battle, Schwerpunkt and Frontline Productions.
