Tuesday and playing Russ in Cross of Lorraine. This was a good game but finally my position collapsed and it was over with. In the backgound is Dirk Heinz.

 

In the second round of the Night Mini-Tournament. J.R. Tracy's Italians were storming my Russians using the new Human Wave rules (about three hrs old at that time!). Great game with lots of Heroism on the Italian side, but not enough in the end as the Russians holed up and prevailed. Picture by Klas Malmström

 

J.R. Tracy went on to play Mike McGrath for all the glory, but had to yield as unstoppable Mike won his 6:th ASLOK tournament.

Fish, Troha and Nixon, the ASLOK managers then and now. I managed to get a game out of Fish. No, not ASL, but after we had talked a little he sold me copy of Titan the Arena from Burke's used-to-be-neverending supply.
