ASLOK XIII, 1998

Playing in thirty minutes after arriving at Radisson Inn!

Russ Bunten (far right), Klas Malmström (in white) & myself (in red) in Dogs of War. Brian Martuzas enjoys it on the side with a beer. AAR Link

Mark

Mark Nixon, superb manager of the tournament, plays the Game, drinks beer and wears a lampshade. Picture by Klas Malmström.

Cross of Lorraine

Tuesday and playing Russ in Cross of Lorraine. This was a good game but finally my position collapsed and it was over with. In the backgound is Dirk Heinz. AAR Link

Italians in the Night...

In the second round of the Night Mini-Tournament. J.R. Tracy's Italians were storming my Russians using the new Human Wave rules (about three hrs old at that time!). Great game with lots of Heroism on the Italian side, but not enough in the end as the Russians holed up and prevailed. AAR Link

JR vs Mike

J.R. Tracy went on to play Mike McGrath for all the glory, but had to yield as unstoppable Mike won his 6:th ASLOK tournament.

An Insane Winner...?

Our Listmeister Paul Ferraro (far left) combining with Dr. Rob (not insane) Seulowitz and Klas Malmström in Dogs of War.

... past and present

Fish, Troha and Nixon, the ASLOK managers then and now. I managed to get a game out of Fish. No, not ASL, but after we had talked a little he sold me copy of Titan the Arena from Burke's used-to-be-neverending supply.

Gimme that flag!

Spyros smiling happily as he finishes me off in Surrender or Die!, my favourite small scenario of all times. AAR Link
